Competitive Pairing & Small Bites with CRUSH and Blue Valley Vineyard
Time & Location
About The Event
In honor of the 1976 Paris Wine Tasting, CRUSH Wine Bar and Blue Valley Vineyard will be collaborating on a Competitive Pairing of eight wines, with YOU, being the Judge. Your afternoon will consist of comparing and judging four select French wines chosen by CRUSH's Som, Tom Donegan, against four select Virginia wines produced by Blue Valley Vineyard and selected by BVV Som, Raymond Grimes. Each of your respective Soms will guide and discuss the wines in depth. Each comparison will be accompanied by a unique small plate tasting by CRUSH (teaser - Confit of Duck leg, mushroom and vidalia tartlet anyone?).
Enjoy a jazzy, cozy afternoon at CRUSH and test your palate, or toss your competitive nature and bask in great wine and small plates. The competitive pairing will consist of four sets of two, (eight wines in total, each tasting to be 1.5 ounces per glass) accompanied by a Chef's selection of a unique, small bite tasting to accompany your comparison, 4 in total).
Your tasting will be BLIND! You're not going to know which is French or which is Virginia - Your palate will be in charge! You'll have a personal tasting card & ballot to keep track of your adventure. Who will prevail? Results will be revealed in the end!
After the event, the full bar & wines presented during the event will be available for bottle purchase or by the glass until 8pm.
